Electronic Money Jars and Banks 
 
This Electronic Bank variation on the good old fashioned Piggy Bank is fun to use. Also known as Money Jars or Electric Piggy Banks, when you buy one you will be up to date with the latest technology.  An Electronic Money Jar makes it easy to store loose change out of temptation's way, yet still allows easy access to your money. 
 
Most Electronic Money Jars are designed so that when you insert a coin into the bank, the amount deposited will be displayed by the Money Jar. The Jar will "know" the amount of each coin you deposit.
 
Some Electronic Money Jars will also display an "account balance", so you will know how much money the Money Jar contains at any point in time. Depending upon design of your jar, you can clear or reset the Electronic Money Jar balance with a reset button or simply remove the Money Jar batteries. As you can see, Electronic Money Jars are a great improvement over the old fashioned Piggy Banks and manual Money Banks.
 

Electronic Money Jars require a power source, usually AA batteries that are not included with your Money Jar purchase. Be sure to add them to your shopping cart when purchasing a Money Jar.

Keep your Electronic Money Jar batteries all of the same type - Don't mix alkaline, standard, or NiCad batteries in your Money Bank. Use fresh batteries and do not mix new batteries with old ones.

Electronic Money Jar battery installation will be very simple in most cases. You may need a screwdriver to remove and replace the cover of the battery compartment on the Money Jar. Install your batteries per the instructions and avoid incorrect polarity as this will damage your Electronic Money Bank.

Of course the Electronic Money Jar should be kept dry and water should not be allowed into or near the electronic slot. The Electronic Money Jar may be cleaned by wiping with a damp cloth.
